How to add a tier to the Shopify progress bar

Add the tier

1. In the app, open Goals & Discounts, tab Goals.
2. Click Add a goal. The new tier is created and opens right away.
3. Choose its type (see below), fill in its texts and its threshold.
4. Click Save in the save bar at the top of the page.

If your store has several bars, pick one with Filter by bar before clicking Add a goal: the new tier is created on that bar. You can also add a tier from a bar's form, in the Bars tab.

From the Shopify admin, Discounts › Create discount also lists the Yaco discounts. Choosing one opens the app on a new tier.

Choose the tier type

For the three reward types, choose between two modes:

• Goal + automatic discount: the app creates and updates the Shopify discount for you when you save.
• Goal only: the bar announces the reward, and you set up the matching automatic discount yourself in Shopify Discounts (a "Buy X get Y" discount for a free product).

Each type has its own page: free shipping, free gift, discount tier.

Set the threshold

The tier reads as a sentence: Unlocks when the cart amount for all products reaches your threshold. Click each part to change it.

• The measure comes from the bar the tier belongs to: cart amount, cart weight, number of items, the customer's total spend or number of past orders. Pick another bar in Shop bars, or Create a bar. See bars.
• The threshold is an amount, a weight or a quantity, depending on the measure.
• For percentage and amount off tiers, Discount calculation sets whether the threshold counts prices Before all discounts or After product discount (the default).

Write the texts

• Goal name: the reward as the shopper reads it, for example "Free shipping".
• Goal's text template: the progress sentence, for example {amount} left for {name}. The app fills in the remaining amount and the tier name.

Both texts can be translated from their own field. The message shown once the tier is reached is set in the Success message tab: see success message.

Pause or remove a tier

The button in the top right corner of the tier card switches it off (Disable this goal) or back on (Enable this goal). A disabled tier disappears from your store and its Shopify discount stops applying, but it keeps all its settings. It is handy to pause an offer during a promotion. How many tiers can be live

Your plan sets how many tiers are shown on your store. Extra active tiers are saved but stay invisible, and a banner above the list tells you so. See the pricing page.
