Why isn't my progress bar showing on my Shopify store?
Most often the app embed is off, the bar is not placed in your theme or the app is not published yet. Check these first, then the tier targeting.
The app embed is switched off
The bar cannot load while the Yaco Progress Bar app embed is off. It is the most common cause, and it takes a minute to fix.
- In the Shopify admin, open Online Store › Themes › Customize on your live theme.
- Click App embeds in the left sidebar.
- Turn on Yaco Progress Bar, then click Save.
The Theme integration page of the app shows the same switch under App embed activation. Step by step: install the app.
The bar is not placed in your theme
If Theme integration shows Missing or manual theme integration, the app runs but has nowhere to display the bar.
- Click Place progress bar to open the theme editor and position the bar, for example in the cart drawer.
- Placements belong to one theme. After switching themes, open Theme integration, choose the new theme and check its placements. The Import button copies placements from another theme.
- The Auto Cart drawer integration does not work on every theme. If nothing shows in the drawer, add a placement instead.

The app is not published yet
Until the app is published, the bar is only visible in the theme editor and in development stores. The setup guide on the app home page then shows Live in Theme editor only. Choose a plan on the Subscription page to go live. Plans are listed on the pricing page.
A placement hides the bar on purpose
Each placement listed under Theme integrations has its own display rules. Open it and check:
- Enable this integration is ticked.
- Visibility condition: When the cart contains items hides the bar on an empty cart, When the cart is empty hides it as soon as a product is added.
- Show on templates: the bar only appears on the page types selected.
- Goal filter: a placement that shows only specific tiers stays empty when none of them applies.
All tiers are reached, or none applies
- In the Success message tab, Hide the progress bar when all goals are reached replaces the bar with the success message once the last tier is unlocked.
- The bar needs at least one active tier. Check that your tiers are not archived and that their active dates have started.
- If the Goals tab says some active goals stay invisible to your customers, your plan publishes fewer tiers than you configured.
The bar shows for some customers only
A tier can be reserved to some shoppers, so a colleague may see the bar while you do not. In the tier card, check:
- customer type (B2B or B2C), customer tags and customer segments;
- countries, and market exceptions such as Disable goal for this market;
- cart attribute conditions and active dates;
- Traffic source: a tier reserved to a campaign only shows to visitors who arrived through the campaign link;
- the bar's Measure: bars based on Customer purchase history or Customer's past orders only show to logged-in customers, so they disappear in a private window.

Your browser shows an old version
After a change, reload the page without cache (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or open the store in a private window.
Still stuck?
Write to [email protected] with:
- your store URL (the .myshopify.com address) and the name of your theme;
- the page where the bar should appear, and whether the cart was empty;
- the browser and device you used;
- a screenshot of the page.
If the bar needs a custom spot in your theme, the Contact support button on Theme integration asks us for a free integration. Adding your Collaborator request code speeds it up.
